The Honda semi-automatic is the most common motorbike type in Vietnam. Cheap to buy, cheap to maintain, and cheap to run with excellent gas efficiency. The Blade never breaks down
Tigit’s warranty against breakdowns combined with only one oil change every 1000km means the Honda Blade should work out similar or on many occasions cheaper than trying to buy and sell a cheap backpacker motorbike! These are real Honda motorcycles, not Chinese copies that are found in the backpacker area.

The Honda Blade 110cc Rack
The pictures in the gallery are with an Enduristan 82L bag. The Blade comes equipped with an extended Givi Rack with a specification of 7KG maximum. They often break at the connection point under the seat (shown in the pictures). It is easy to weld these on route for around 2.5usd. It is essential to mount the bag as far forward as possible using the seat for support. The Blade can handle two people and luggage across any road in Vietnam. However, it is perhaps not the best motorbike for the job. Bags are best mounted horizontally not length ways, keeping the bag as far forward as possible.
In case of a bike stolen, what is my most possible liability to the bike? I just wanted to get a feeling of the worst scenario when renting a bike. Thanks
The value of the bike is stated on the terms and conditions and depends on the KM of the bike. For the Blade ranges between $500-850
Worst case scenario is $850 total for the bike.

Hi,
3 of us are wanting to rent a Honda Blade or equivalent bike from either ho chi Minh or maybe Dalat and drop them off in Hanoi. Dates would be from the 30th/31st of July to 18/19th of August (ho chi Minh to Hanoi) or the 1st/2nd of August to the 18th/19th of August from Dalat. Is it possible to arrange this?
Also, Can I ask, how fast do these go? And what ID etc do you need? Also, can you help us ship our bags to Hanoi instead of carrying them on the bikes?

We do not require ID. The bikes go 90-110km/h depending on weight. Bags can be shipped to Hanoi for $15 per bag.
If you have a choice of locations, HCM will have better support and service. Dalat is a very small location for us.
